Dangerous Goods (DK)
Challenge
The international maritime codes and EU regulation demands that shippers acquire approval from environmental authorities for the transportation of dangerous goods in packaged form on ships.
In Denmark the Maritime Authorities handle all shipping related governance, but the Environmental Protection Agency is alerted when materials with the potential to pollute the oceans and coasts are being transported.

An F2 solution was designed to receive and process these cases to ensure that inspections could be called if needed. And that the authorities knew what dangerous goods were being transported through Danish seaways in case of accidents.
Results
Before the solution these approvals were being handled manually. With the automated process, resource efficiency was increased significantly.
